My Summer 2

2010-08-23

I caught a train to see the Musee Du Louvre, the largest museum in the world, where the famous Mona Lisa painting is held.

The museum itself is very beautiful!

And a very popular destination for tourists from all over the world!

When I returned from Paris to London, I then took a train to Oxford, which took roughly an hour, and found the University of Oxford, which consists of many different colleges.

While I stayed at the University of Oxford, I studied a short course titled ‘Rites of Passage’ where I read and studied three novels written by three women; ‘Summer’ by Edith Wharton, ‘The Member of the Wedding’ by Carson McCullers, and ‘Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont’ by Elizabeth Taylor. I met many people while I was there and had an excellent time. It was only two weeks, but I achieved everything I had set out to do , so I was pleased. I am sure I will return soon. These cities are too exciting to see once and never return!

Have you been to any of these cities? What are your thoughts and impressions? Could you live there?
