Teaching Recent High School Graduates

Over the past two weeks, I’ve been preparing recent high school graduates to study at an American university in Tokyo.
I taught them note-taking, listening, reading, writing, and discussion skills.
They were excellent students. At first, they were a little shy about sharing their opinions. However, by the end of the two-week period, they had become more confident in discussing many topics.
On the last day of class, we held a class debate, where students debated the question: “Does Social Media Make Us More Social?”
They came up with some interesting points that I hadn’t thought about before.
I think social media is a good thing because it makes it easier to stay connected with our friends and share information that we find interesting. What do you think?
