Sojourner’s paddock was comfortable, and his master always kept his hay fresh. Every day Sojourner was let out into the fenced pasture to eat the warm, tasty grass. He plods down to the far fence. Sometimes horse vans with racing horses roll by, and once he saw some circus horses, festive in their bright tack.
The Virginia countryside is lovely, especially in the spring. But Sojourner had spring fever. He wants to go on an adventure!
