Life in Minnesota

2009-09-15

Minnesota is close to the Canadian border and so it’s got very cold winters. The capital is the Twin Cities, which is actually Minneapolis-St.Paul. There are many ethnic restaurants and art museums to enjoy here. I love living here because you have the best of both worlds--- busy city life and serene nature.

Minnesota is also called “the Land of Lakes.” This is because there are 10,000 lakes in Minnesota; one of them is Lake Superior, the second-largest lake in the world. It is so big it looks like the ocean. If you like nature, you will love Minnesota! Summers are very beautiful and full of activity. It’s a lot of fun going to Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis, where people go sailing, canoeing, sunbathing or just relax on the beach.

If you like malls, you will LOVE Mall of America, the biggest mall in the United States. It even has an indoor amusement park.
