Parents of mixed kids

Parents of mixed kids look abroad for high schools Japan Timesの記事はこちらより
Questions: 1. It is not just parents of mixed children that think about moving their children abroad for school. Some Japanese do it for a good grounding in English or to open up the possibility of study abroad later on but quite a few parents in the article mentioned bullying and/or learning disabilities as a reason for considering overseas schools. Do you think this means that Japan does not have the resources to help children that don`t fit into the "mould" of a regular student?
2. One of the quotes was “It was a great fit for him,” she says. “He definitely benefitted from a less restrictive education in the United States.” - What are your thoughts on this? Do you think that the Japanese education system is restrictive?
3. Do you worry about your child`s future within the Japanese education system?
4. The article touched on the juku/juken system that Japan has. For me, personally, I worry about how this would affect my children later on for when they are looking at junior high schools or high schools because it seems to put a lot of pressure on the students. What are you thoughts on this?
