Winter Season in Mexico

Winter season in México City is kind of odd. It can get extremely cold to the point of freezing, but it doesn't snow because of the high altitude. However, it also gets extremely hot when you stay out in the sun, due to the same situation of altitude. So, we bundle ourselves early in the morning to go to work or just going outside; but slowly unwrap ourselves as we get the heat of the sun through our bodies. But, the minute we step out of the sun, we must be watchful for rapidly dropping temperatures. Also, as sunset approaches, we bundle up once more to weather the low temperatures again.

Chilangos, the way residents of Mexico city call themselves, state that to dress appropriately in Mexico City during the winter, you must dress up for all 4 seasons in layers, like an onion; then peel away or put back on as needed. Happy holidays!
