End of year celebrations

End of year celebrations will be here soon and people around the world may celebrate in different ways. Here In Argentina most shopping malls started their Christmas displays last week, the first week in November! So if you go shopping you can already see Christmas trees and decorations all around. Children get overexcited at times and they start asking parents for all the toys they see on TV commercials and in the shop windows.

On Christmas Eve most families meet to have dinner together and to wait for Christmas day to start. At 12 o'clock we all make a toast and there are fireworks that cover the sky. Immediately afterwards children open the presents they find under the Christmas tree, and so do Adults, of course! We have a very similar celebration on December 31st to welcome the New Year at 0 Hs on January 1st! But there are no presents under the tree on that day.
