It’s Never Early to Learn

2010-04-01

I have a 17 months old daughter named Martina. When Martina had her very first birthday, I bought her a set of board books on animals. She loved the book very much that she was able to point out some of the animals inside it.

A couple of months after, after seeing her excitement towards the book, I bought her another set called Brainy Baby board books. She jumped out of gladness when I handed them over to her. Now, wherever she goes, she carries them with her. I usually place the books inside her bag too so I can just bring them out whenever she feels bored. She can now name and point out more animals and things.

I think, it is never really very early to learn. I saw my baby’s eagerness and curiosity over things and I wanted to develop her sense of inquiry. I feel very overwhelmed whenever she learns something new each day. I am on the lookout again for new baby books to purchase. I love books, I learn from them and I learn a lot from them. I also want my baby to feel the same. Although, I am not deliberately implying that she should also love books.
