Dear MailPal Students,
What a difficult and terrible time all of you are going through right now.

Japan is a wonderful country and the Japanese a strong and resilient people. I know that even with all of the damage and despair at present, your strength will be an asset.

I hope that it helps a little to know that here in the United States we are thinking of you and sending both prayers and support.

I live in Virginia, and my local community has sent a large disaster rescue and recovery team of medical personnel and firefighters two days ago.

I hope that you, your friends and family are safe and sheltered.
