My country is in the middle of a budget crisis. Many people are worried about their jobs, and about how expensive gasoline and other things have become. I think that many people are trying to make their lives more simple, and enjoy things don’t cost money. This is a good philosophy to me. Having a cook out with friends is very popular, or playing board games like Scrabble or Monopoly. Enjoying simple things is a way to relax and become less worried and stressful.
Instead of going on a vacation, many Americans are having a “staycation”. This is a word made up of “stay at home” and “vacation.” It is having fun visiting places in your own city or state, and not spending very much money. Read more about “staycation”: http://www.staycationidea.com/
