University reunion in London

This weekend I went to a university reunion in London. It was one for my group of friends not an official one. It happens every year but I have missed a few because I used to live abroad.
We all met up in Covent Garden for lunch before going out for drinks. It was amazing fun and great to catch up with people I haven't seen for years. Two of my friends are engaged to be married - not to each other though.
When British students go to university, in the first year we are put into Halls of Residence, where you have your own bedroom but must share a bathroom. There is a dining hall for food and a pub for socialising, this is where you make friends from all different courses. There was lots of remembering funny stories and talking about the differences between now and then.
I didn't like London when I have visited before but I really liked it this weekend. So my friend Liz is convinced I should move there and is going to email me with suggestions for places to live!
