Healthy eating & cooking

I like to try and eat healthy. Especially since I need to feed my family as well and I want them to have a healthy and varied diet. I like experimenting in the kitchen but I am not very good at Japanese style cooking but I try hard to make Japanese cuisine 2-3 nights a week.


Recently I made miso soup from scratch with Japanese radish {Daikon}, seaweed {wakame} and leek {negi}. I don`t really like miso soup but my husband said it was delicious and my children loved it too. We ate it with teriyaki fish {buri}, sesame spinach {gomae} and garlic asparagus with parmasen cheese.


The asparagus dish is one of our favourite side dishes. Both of my toddlers also enjoy it!


Take 2 bunches of asparagus and cut into 1 inch pieces- if you can get the thin asparagus it is better, fry in the pan with some minced garlic and olive oil until cooked. Turn off the heat and add some parmasen cheese and pepper on top and then serve.
