The next day we visited the Aztec ruins of Chichen Itza, world heritage site. This is such an important cultural site that even to this date they keep on digging and discovering ruins deeper down in the ground. Recently Elton John held a concert in these ancient grounds.

The following day we visited Uxmal, a Mayan ruin site, less known than Chichen Itza, but far more beautiful I believe.

We enjoyed the day visit and stayed through the night for a most mesmerizing light and sound show.
