I love camping! There are so many beautiful places to camp in South Africa. Many of the campsites are next to rivers. The above photo was taken as the sun was setting.
My husband enjoys fishing when we go camping. I always take a book to read while he fishes. Below are some pictures from our last camping trip.
This photo is of a place called Geelkrans. It was an amazing place to camp. There was no electricity there, so we had make a fire to cook and use gas lamps and torches for light.
My favourite part of camping is that you are surrounded my nature. I love sitting by a fire at night and looking up at the stars. I also love waking up to the sound of birds singing.
The only time when camping is not much fun is when it rains. Everything becomes wet and muddy and I don’t enjoy camping then!
In December we love going up to the Transkei to a place called Mdumbi. The campsite is next to the beach. It is amazing to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing on the sand.
