Bathing Boxes

I grew up on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. A beautiful green area which is surrounded by bay beaches.

On the Mornington shore is a line of colorful beach boxes. People use them to keep their beach equipment in i.e., Kayaks or jet skis and wetsuits.

Coming home to Australia, one of the first places I wanted to visit was the little row of beach boxes. They remind me of family Sunday drives to the beach, and make me feel at home.

When I was a child I wanted to grow up to be a mermaid and live in one of these beach boxes so the ocean would be right at my door step. Unfortunately I didn’t grow up to be a mermaid and I don’t live in one of the beach boxes, but I do love swimming at any chance I get.
