Autumn

2012-10-27

Autumn has just knocked on Italy's door and it has been welcomed in like an old friend.

It is time to close our windows, drag boxes of “winter clothes” from lofts and cellars, or in my case on top of a wardrobe, and for teachers like me to get down to some hard graft!

What changes do you make in this season? Do you have two “wardrobes” like me?

Living in Italy means that Halloween is not a traditional festivity and has only recently become popular. However, I try to make the most of it.

Check out my not so scary Edward Scissor Hands costume I will be wearing to a local “ghoul” festival this weekend. Have you ever worn a scary costume?

Pumpkins grow in abundance in Italy and, instead of fillings for pasta or soups, are now being used to make lanterns like those you see in Britain and The USA What do people in Japan do with pumpkins?

Happy Halloween to you all.........whhhhhooooaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!
